Comet Sound

(1955)

The Comet Sound or more precise the Comet 8mm Magnetic Sound was the predecessor of the Cometson. It was based on a Comet with a newly designed base to house the sound head. It has the same brush motor as the Comet whereas the Cometson had a new variable speed induction motor.

It was Cirse's initial exploration in the field of sound projection. The sound base was built by Castelli in Milan. Private individuals could even have their mute Comet projectors converted into a Comet Sound. The result was exactly the same as when buying a Comet Sound.
